ILX V
Compact industrial print engine for print & apply — prints the label in real time and feeds it straight to an APX V or WMX applicator.
Thermal transfer and direct thermal print engine in nine width/resolution versions, 54 to 108.4 mm at 200–600 dpi and up to 400 mm/s. Right- or left-hand, built in aluminium and stainless steel, and mountable in any position — from above, from the side or upside down.
The ILX V is the print engine at the heart of Carl Valentin's print & apply systems. It prints each label in real time, in thermal transfer or direct thermal, and hands it straight to the applicator: the pneumatic APX V for tamp, blow-on or roll-on transfer, or a WMX wipe-on applicator that needs no compressed air at all.
Nine versions cover 54 to 108.4 mm print width at 200, 203, 300 and 600 dpi, at up to 350 mm/s in thermal transfer and 400 mm/s in direct thermal (100 mm/s on the 600 dpi 106/24). Labels from 15 mm up to 3000 mm long run from an internal roll of up to 150 mm diameter, or up to 330 mm with an external unwinder.
The housing is aluminium and stainless steel, available in right- and left-hand versions, and mounts in any orientation — a new fixing point on the underside lets it label from above, from the side or upside down. The multilingual control unit rotates and moves to suit the installation. A V-series processor (ARM Cortex A8, 1 GHz, 512 MB RAM), the usual industrial interfaces and external I/O make it easy to integrate into a packaging line, and the Greek character set is built in.
