FlexiMate eSwing

Where a linear applicator comes down onto a product, the eSwing rotates. Its programmable electric swing arm can be positioned anywhere from 0° to 180°, which lets it reach the front face of a case travelling along a conveyor — a position a vertical applicator cannot reach — as well as its back. The label is applied tamp & blow, without contact, on moving or stationary products, at up to 40 cycles per minute and with ±1 mm typical accuracy.

Electric actuation gives smooth, controlled motion with fully adjustable acceleration and deceleration, which keeps placement precise and mechanical stress and wear low. It can also print and apply two labels in real time on two adjacent sides of the same product — front and side, or front and opposite side — removing the need for a second system on lines that need both.

The unit is modular: right- or left-hand versions for 4" or 6" liner, a nominal stroke of 250 or 400 mm that can be fixed, programmable or variable with a proximity sensor, tamp pads up to 160 × 123 mm, and label rolls unwound up to Ø350 mm. It is run from an 800 × 480 touchscreen, with IMA's LinkMate software on a PC for service; Ethernet is available as an option.
