A high-performance print & apply system for moving products on high-throughput lines. A label buffer separates printing from application, so a label is always ready: it is wiped on at up to 70 m/min with ±1 mm typical accuracy, even when line speed varies.
The FlexiMate eBlade is built for process stability at speed. Printing and application are separate steps joined by a label buffer: the print engine fills the buffer, and the wipe-on applicator takes from it as products pass — on the top, the bottom or the side, at up to 70 m/min and with ±1 mm typical placement accuracy. Because a label is always waiting, the line can change speed without the labelling falling behind.
That is also its trade-off, and IMA states it plainly: the eBlade is meant for high-speed applications where a stable flow matters more than real-time printing. Printing and application run in a controlled sequence, with no need to synchronise each label to its product in real time.
It is fully electric, with an optimised liner path for consistent dispensing and a peeling blade that is either fixed or spring-loaded. The unit is modular, comes in right- and left-hand versions for 4" or 6" liner, has a rewinding capacity of up to Ø250 mm, and is run from either a 20 × 2-line LCD control display with five buttons or an 800 × 480 touchscreen, with IMA's LinkMate software on a PC for service.
