Pallet³

A pallet leaving the line has to be identifiable wherever it ends up and however it is turned on a truck, which is why GS1 practice is to label more than one face. Pallet³ does this on stationary pallets: synchronised X, Y and Z axes with an articulated wrist bring a 160 × 220 mm tamp pad to the front, the side or the rear, in programmable cycles that cover one, two or three sides — up to 15 pallets per minute with one label, up to 4 with three, at ±5 mm typical accuracy.

The standard label is A5 (148 × 210 mm), with other sizes on request down to 100 × 100 mm, from reels up to Ø350 mm on a 76 mm (3″) core. Application is Tamp & Blow with contact, so the system needs compressed air — up to 6 bar, about 2.5 l per cycle — supplied by the customer. It works with Zebra, SATO, TSC, Novexx and Carl Valentin print engines.

An enclosed industrial cabinet protects the mechanics and electronics, improves operator safety and keeps maintenance low, while leaving easy access for loading consumables; the design follows DIN EN 415 for packaging-machine safety. Pallet³ comes in right- and left-hand versions, optionally with a rotating tamp pad (RT), runs on 110–120 or 220–240 VAC at 700 W maximum, and is operated from an 800 × 480 touchscreen, with IMA's LinkMate software on a PC for service.
