FlexiMate VOLT770

SLAM lines — scan, label, apply, manifest — need a label on every parcel, at speed and in step with the flow, whatever the parcel's height. The VOLT770 answers with a long stroke: 800 mm nominal, 770 mm usable, so products of very different heights are labelled from one mounting position. The stroke is fixed, or variable with a proximity sensor that adapts it to each product.

The applicator is carbon fibre — strong, with low inertia — which is what lets a stroke that long move fast and still place the label accurately: up to 60 labels per minute at ±5 mm typical, applied to the top of moving products with a brush pad. The drive is fully electric, for smooth, repeatable motion with less mechanical complexity and less maintenance.

It takes label reels up to Ø350 mm on a 76 mm (3″) core and labels from 100 × 100 to 100 × 150 mm with a 3 mm minimum gap, comes in right- and left-hand versions and runs on 110–120 or 220–240 VAC at 700 W maximum. It is operated from an 800 × 480 touchscreen, with IMA's LinkMate software on a PC for service.
